What you should know about holding an event:
This is a community garden and we encourage community events. Parties, weddings, graduations, school activities, filming, photo shoots, exhibitions, private dinner parties and performances have all been held in the garden. We are funded solely by private contributions, so we do ask for a donation for your event which depends on the number of guests and duration. The maximum number of guests allowed is 35 and all events must end before dark. Set up and clean up times are INCLUDED in your reservation, if your event ends at 7 PM, you must vacate the garden at that time. A garden representative will meet you at the beginning of your event, clear the garden of non-invited guests, hang a "PRIVATE EVENT, by invitation only" sign on the entry gate and close the gate for your privacy. There is no electricity or lighting in the garden and water is available through a garden hose only, and should not be used for drinking. If you host children, keep them off the rocks, retaining walls or handrails and no running or ball playing, the hard patio surfaces are not friendly to falling kids. Please watch them carefully. NO smoking, fires, barbeques, alcoholic beverages, loud music, amplifiers or disruptive sounds are allowed. Stay on paths and DO NOT step into the planting areas, pick the flowers or handle plants. If you plan to serve food, you must clean up after your event. Any and all material you bring into the garden, must be removed at the end of your event. Please leave the garden as clean as you found it and return tables and chairs to their original positions. We have seating for 24 and 3 tables for your use. The donation for your event can easily be made by credit card or paypal by clicking the donate button below and must be made at least 24 hours before your event. Please do not make a payment until your event date is confirmed. If your event is cancelled or in case of rain your donation will be refunded in full. City park rules require that you sign an agreement if you hold an event in the garden. If you are an individual holding an event, you need to sign this form. If you are a larger organization, corporation or will have equipment in the garden you need to sign this form. The form will be collected by a garden representative at your event.
