This is a community garden and we encourage community events.

Parties, weddings, graduations, school activities, filming, photo shoots, exhibitions and performances have all been held in the garden. It's a great place to have a special dinner party outdoors in the summertime as well.

What you should know about holding an event:

  • The Garden is a public space and anyone may walk in during your event. We will provide you with a "PRIVATE EVENT, by invitation only" sign which we will post on the entry gate 1/2 hour before your event, so you can set up. This usually keeps out 99.9% of strangers. The gate cannot be locked while you are inside the garden.

  • There is no electricity in the garden. Water is available through a garden hose only, and should not be used for drinking.

  • If you plan to serve food, you must clean up after your event, bring you own garbage bags and separate recyclables. We do have a composter for plant material only.

  • Smoking is discouraged, if you must smoke bring you own ashtrays and remove them when you leave. Cigarette butts should not be thrown on the ground.

  • Live or recorded music is allowed (make sure it's battery powered) but please keep it at a reasonable level and respect you neighbors.

  • No fires, barbeques or alcohol are allowed

  • Stay on paths at all times, do NOT step into the planting beds (people & pets)

  • Do not pick the flowers or handle any plants

  • If you bring pets, they must be leashed. If they poop, you MUST scoop. Do not allow them to urinate in the garden, it kills the plants!

  • If you bring in children, keep them off the walls or handrails and no running, the gravel and hard patio surfaces are not friendly to falling kids.

  • Please leave the garden as clean as you found it and return tables and chairs to their original positions.

  • Do feel free to leave your comments/suggestions in our guest book, located in the podium at the rear of the garden.

  • If you wish to hold an event we do ask for a contribution. This depends on the time, size, duration and nature of your event. Payment can be made via Paypal or a major credit card by clicking the donate button below. Payment must be made before or at the time of your event and please do not make a payment until your event is confirmed. You can also pay by check, (payable to The Creative Little Garden, taxpayer ID# 13-322974) by either handing it to a confirmed garden representative in the garden or by mailing it to:
